Course Delivery and Assessment

The course is delivered online and will consist of theory modules as well as short online assessments. You'll be assigned a dedicated trainer/assessor for support if required for the duration of your course.

1 year is the average course duration for completing the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping qualification. As this course is 'self-paced' study you can enrol at any time and progress at any speed you like without the stress of due dates and rigid class timetables, fitting study around work, family and life. Study duration depends on the hours you put in and your skill level. As a guide, someone dedicating 8 hours per week to study, could expect to complete the assessment component of the course in 6 - 8 months.

Students will have access to their trainer at any time and can book in a time for tutorials with their trainer at a time that suits them.

What You'll Study

The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping qualification is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and upon successful completion you'll be awarded a nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment and 13 nationally accredited units of competency.

• FNSACC321 - Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
• FNSACC322 - Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
• FNSACC412 - Prepare operational budgets
• FNSACC414 - Prepare financial statements for non-reporting entities
• FNSACC418 - Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry
• FNSACC421 - Prepare financial reports
• FNSACC426 - Set up and operate computerised accounting systems
• FNSTPB411 - Complete business activity and instalment activity statements
• FNSTPB412 - Establish and maintain payroll systems
• FNSACC323 - Perform financial calculations
• FNSACC407 - Produce job costing information
• BSBXCM301 - Engage in workplace communication

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course however students will require:

• Sufficient level of language, literacy and numeracy is required for students to be able to complete the required assessments.
• Basic computer skills, and access to a computer and internet

It is a condition of enrolment in any nationally recognised training (accredited) course that you supply the training organisation with a valid unique student identifier (USI). If you don't already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au or we can apply for one for you.
