Statutory Mining Supervisors Course (Schedule 26/S26 WA) - F2F - Course Information
What is Schedule 26?
Schedule 26 is the updated statutory framework that replaces the former Section 44 requirements under the now-superseded Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994. These requirements have been modernised and incorporated into the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, which now govern statutory supervisor appointments on Western Australian mine sites.
As of 30 March 2026, the transitional arrangements for statutory supervisors have now ended. Anyone performing statutory supervisor duties must meet the full eligibility requirements, including:
Completion of the approved risk management Units of Competency, and;
Successful completion of the WorkSafe/LGIRS legislation examination.
