The Conduct Operations with Integrated Tool Carrier (RIIHAN311F) course equips you with the practical knowledge and skills to safely and effectively operate an integrated tool carrier across a range of civil construction, mining and worksite environments. You’ll learn about:
Legislation and Workplace Requirements: Applicable WHS requirements, site procedures, manufacturer requirements and operator responsibilities.
Planning and Hazard Identification: Plan work and identify hazards including ground conditions, services, traffic, pedestrians and environmental conditions.
Integrated Tool Carrier Components and Controls: Machine systems, controls, capabilities, limitations and safety features.
Pre-Operational Inspections: Conduct pre-start inspections, identify faults and confirm the machine is safe and suitable for the task.
Attachment Selection and Use: Select, fit, test, operate, remove, clean and store approved attachments.
Lifting and Load Handling: Establish load requirements, understand capacity, load limits, load distribution and centre of gravity, and safely lift, carry and place loads.
Dogman and Lifting Communication: Where required, coordinate with a dogman, confirm suitable lifting gear/slings, and use approved signals.
Safe Machine Operation: Operate safely while maintaining control, stability and clearances.
Traffic and Site Coordination: Work safely around pedestrians, vehicles and mobile plant and follow traffic-management requirements.
Relocating the Integrated Tool Carrier: Prepare and move the machine between work areas or worksites.
Operational Servicing and Refuelling: Complete routine checks, fault reporting and safe refuelling requirements.

Course Delivery and Assessment
The Conduct Operations with Integrated Tool Carrier course includes theory, practical training and competency-based assessment.
Practical training and assessment is conducted in a suitable training or workplace environment using an integrated tool carrier, relevant attachments, personal protective equipment and applicable workplace procedures.
Participants will be required to demonstrate that they can safely plan and prepare for integrated tool carrier operations, inspect and operate the equipment, select and use attachments, manage loads and complete required shutdown, housekeeping and reporting activities.

CSQ provides substantial funding, with a small student co-contribution usually required.
Construction Training Fund WA
Eligible apprentices, trainees, workers and business owners in WA's building and construction industry can save up to 70% on metro courses and 80% on regional courses with CTF funding.
