The combined Live Low-Voltage (LV) Panel Rescue & CPR face-to-face refresher course is designed for workers who have previously completed the full units and need to maintain currency and compliance.
You’ll refresh your ability to respond effectively to electrical incidents and medical emergencies through updated theory and hands-on practical assessment.
You’ll refresh and demonstrate competency in:
LV Panel Rescue Refresher Skills
Reviewing workplace electrical safety procedures and emergency response requirements
Identifying hazards and risks associated with live low-voltage panels
Performing a safe rescue from a live LV panel using the correct equipment
Applying rescue techniques while maintaining personal safety
Communicating effectively with emergency services
Completing required incident and workplace documentation
CPR Refresher Skills
Performing CPR on adults, children, and infants
Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively
Managing unresponsive casualties
Applying infection control procedures
Assessing emergency scenes and prioritising life-threatening conditions
Training and assessment are conducted in line with current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and relevant workplace safety standards.
This combined refresher course is delivered face-to-face over 2 hours.
You’ll be assessed through practical, real-world scenarios to ensure you can confidently apply your skills in emergency situations.
Assessment is competency-based and ensures you can apply safe work practices with confidence. It includes:
Interactive quizzes and knowledge checks throughout the course
Scenario-based questions to demonstrate practical understanding
A final assessment to confirm your skills and compliance are current
Mining & Resources: Electrical maintenance personnel, mine operators, site safety officers, and emergency response team members.
Construction & Civil Infrastructure: Electricians, electrical supervisors, construction workers operating near live electrical equipment, and site supervisors.
Utilities & Industrial Services: Industrial maintenance technicians, electrical service crews, facilities maintenance staff, and site support workers responsible for emergency response.
Upon successful completion of this refresher course, you will be awarded a nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment for:
UETDRMP018 - Perform Rescue from a Live Low-Voltage Panel
HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
These units are recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and meet workplace compliance and refresher requirements.
Refreshing your LV Panel Rescue and CPR certification supports roles such as:
Electrical or Workplace Safety Officer
First Aid Officer / Workplace First Responder
Tradesperson or Maintenance Technician
Mining, Utilities, and Energy Sector Worker
Site Supervisor or Safety-Focused Team Leader
To enrol in this refresher course, students must:
Have successfully completed Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel Rescue (UETDRMP018, UETDRMP007 or UETDRRF004) and Provide CPR (HLTAID009) units within the last 12 months.
Be at least 15 years of age.
Have basic computer skills and access to the internet.
Have sufficient language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments.
Hold a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) - mandatory for all nationally recognised training. If you don't already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au or we can apply for one for you.
Students must provide the following evidence:
A clear copy of your driver's licence or other photo identification.
A Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO confirming successful completion of either UETDRMP018, UETDRMP007 or UETDRRF004, as well as HLTAID009.
Note: Wallet cards will not be accepted unless they meet AQF requirements for an accredited Statement of Attainment.

To avoid delay in processing and issuing your Statement of Attainment, please ensure payment or a company purchase order is provided at enrolment.
If you are submitting a USI transcript, it must include a QR verification code.
If the student does not meet the refresher eligibility requirements and is required to complete the full course, an additional assessment fee will apply for the practical training and assessment component. This can be delivered at any of our training facilities across Australia.
